Quran And the Big Bang
Theory:
Based on Einstein's general
theory of relativity, the big bang is the origin of time and space, as well as
matter. If time itself began with the big bang, then questions about what
happened before it, or what caused it, cease to have meaning.
Fourteen centuries ago, Quran describes the event of the Big Bang in the following
words.
21: 31 Do not the
unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth
were a closed-up mass (ratqan), then We clove them asunder
(fataqna)? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then
believe?
51:48 And the
heaven We built with Our own powers (aydin) and indeed
We go on expanding it (musi'un).1

Geological
history of Earth in the last 600 million years:
The Quran affirm the
end of this universe and the return again to a new beginning.
21:104 On that Day We shall roll up the skies
as written scrolls are rolled up; [and] as We brought into being the first
creation, so We shall bring it forth a new [99] a promise which We have willed upon
Ourselves: for, behold, We are able to do [all things]!
Universe is undergoing a life cycle of birth, evolution ,death
and new beginning.
It
defines the point where the circle begins. It really begin at some point where
the Almighty Allah has begun to draw it at a certain radius from the centre
(Unity of God).
2:157 ... to God we belong and to Him shall we return.
